Sally Hatcher, J.D. is a venture capital investor, board member, serial entrepreneur, and startup accelerator faculty member. Her current work as Managing Partner of Buff Gold Ventures stems from extensive experience founding and managing her own startups, Precision Photonics Corp. and MBio Diagnostics, and senior management in two more hardware-enabled data companies.

She has significant experience training deep tech founders to become the next generation of innovators solving critical problems including climate change, quantum technologies, and drug discovery. Her work with the DOE, NSF and NIH led to her position standing up the commercialization strategy for the University of Colorado for all innovation-enabled startups, including the I-Corps Hub, Research to Market, Mentor Accelerator (now Embark), Ascent Deep Tech Accelerator, and diverse programs on founding and funding startups. Sally also enjoys non-profit board work, volunteering for community events, sculling, and adventures across the West.
